Silvio, thank you very much to find time to make this interwiev! Could you say something about yourself?

Thanks to you for inviting me to do it! Ok, I was born in a small town called Lincoln      (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and I began to play guitar at 14, at that times I was crazy for Slash and Gn´R... then I discover Yngwie and it changed my life forever. Some years later I started to practice more seriously, learning from players like Vinnie Moore, Paul Gilbert, Greg Howe. Some years ago, I started to listen to more fusion players, like Brett Garsed, Frank Gambale, Richie Kotzen.

At 18 years old I moved to La Plata, Buenos Aires, to study classic guitar to the university of Bellas Artes but I left 3 years later. So I decided to play electric guitar full time. I had some bands but the biggest things for me would come some years later...

In 2008 a company from USA saw some videos of mine on youtube and they offered me signing a contract for 3 years for shooting 2 instructional DVDs. One of them I did last year it´s called „Virtuoso guitar secrets" and you can check it out here www.silviochops.com and the next one is going to be called „Arpeggio workshop" and it´ll be all about arpeggios.

This year I won some contests, one of them in youtube, you can check out here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoQJCuO9hfw after this I won a place in the Guitar Idol´s finals in London at LIMS (London international music show), well I didnt won it but just to be there is the best prize for me. Come, just a stupid question! What does the guitar mean for you?

The guitar is my life, I can´t imagine it without my guitar but also I like to compose music and for that sometimes I don´t need the guitar.
