photoHi Michael.  welcome to our webpage, or rather Gitarvilag.hu. I would like to thank you for your help, and time.  Michael, please tell us a bit about yourself!

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to talk to you I really appreciate it. I'm a session guitarist from Sydney, Australia. I play for various top 40 artists. I began guitar at the age of 6 years old and started playing professionally at the age of  20. I had some guitar lessons at the age of 6 I took 3 years of lessons and 6 months of lessons at the age of 19. Along the way I taught myself how to play the music of „The Shadows". By the age of 16 I had discovered Brett Garsed, Joe satriani and Vinnie Moore and Dieter Kleeman (my teacher at 19 years old),  thats when it all became a real passion. I have a guitar instrumental album out at the moment called „Everything Til Now" it is an album I have always wanted to record. It has a variety of styles on it that I love to play. Please check it out  http://www.michaeldolcemusic.com/

From your clips your playing has a great flow it sounds very impressive! Its has a high quality about it! How did you develope this?

albumThank you very much. I suppose the main influences like "The shadows" Brett Garsed and my teacher Dieter Kleeman were a big part of me developing what you hear now. At 16 years old I was practicing very long hours which I think has helped with my technique. But I dont remember much of what I was playing back then it was all speed and no feel, haha...

Michael, I admire your style. It's really an individual one! (I envi this) What is your approach exactly?

I've always been about creating melodic lines, keeping it simple, but also having just enough spice in my playing to give the listener something to grab onto. My approach is, if your everyday music listener likes it then I must be doing something right!

I've read that you are a session player,What do your duties involve?

A session guitarist has alot of different areas he can establish himself into. I do a lot of touring for different artists and play on alot of recordings for TV thats what I am comfortable doing. And there's also the theatre shows, club shows that involve reading music, I dont really like doing those type of performances.
